Hazar project includes several destinations of research. Each o them means creative work on unknown or little known up to nowadays materials (mainly archeological) dealt with Hazar Kaganat, the only one medieval state with Judaism as official religion. The main project’s destination is complex archeological expedition working in the site of ancient settlement Samodelka (island in the Volga delta, Astrakhan region). According to preliminary data here was the largest in region monument of the epoch before Mongols, legendary Hazar capital Itil. |
